Our Team of Investment and Financial PlannersWe have a highly qualified financial planning team with more than 40 years of financial planning experience between us.Our financial planners have all accomplished the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) mark, the highest recognition in financial planning worldwide.
Debbie is the founder of Netto Financial Services. Her experience in investment and financial planning began in 1988, when she joined Liberty Life. She soon formed an independent investment and financial planning company. Her straight talking, systems-oriented and strategic approach to advising clients on investment strategy, financial decisions and business management has benefited her clients over the years. In 2001 she was awarded the esteemed Financial Planning Institute (FPI) / Personal Finance Financial Planner of the Year Award, the ultimate recognition in South Africa for excellence in financial planning. She is a member of the Financial Planning Institute (FPI). Debbie loves her work. Her other passion in life is her family. She is married to Dave and is kept young by her two children, Kerry and Michael.
Ian studied at UCT and UNISA, qualifying as a CA (SA) in 1994. He joined Netto Financial Services in 1999 as a shareholder. He has strong analytical abilities and in-depth local and international experience in finance and tax. Prior to joining Netto, his nine years of work experience included three years in Cape Town, playing an integral role in the successful turnaround of a well known national retail chain. He then spent three years in London working in structured finance at Lloyds Bank Group where his responsibilities included statutory reporting and taxation compliance for about 70 companies. Ian is a member of the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) and the South African Institute for Chartered Accountants (SAICA). In 2007, Ian was awarded the esteemed Financial Planning Institute (FPI) / Personal Finance Financial Planner of the Year Award, the ultimate recognition in South Africa for excellence in Financial Planning. Life for Ian isn't just about finance though. He is married to Ali, and enjoys paddle-skiing, mountain biking and flying light aircraft. He has two children who like him to take them camping on weekends.
Richard completed his articles at Deloitte & Touche in Cape Town before gaining experience in financial services in the US and UK. He joined Nettos in 2003 and completed his CFP in 2004, where he achieved the top result in the country in the case study examination. Richard is a member of SAICA and the FPI. He is married to Larissa, and they have baby daughter. Richard enjoys time in the mountains where he hikes, climbs, mountain bikes and runs. He successfully completed the Cape Epic mountain bike race in 2007.
Ken joined Nettos in 2004 with 10 years of financial planning experience. He studied at UCT and then worked as a financial manager before operating his own IT company. His area of specialisation is medium-sized businesses. He is a member of the FPI and LUASA. Endurance is one characteristic of Kens. He has completed a staggering 12 Argus Cycle Tours, one Comrades Marathon, three Two Oceans Marathons and is a permanent member of the Puffer mountain race. He is married to Andy and has two sons. The whole family enjoys outdoor adventures.
Morné graduated from the University of Stellenbosch and completed his articles at Brink Cohen Le Roux Inc, a prominent Johannesburg law firm, and was admitted as an Attorney in July 2006. Morné joined Netto Financial Services with the vision of assisting clients understand their own financial affairs and helping them to achieve their financial goals. He is responsible for research and support of our financial planning process. He is married to Cindy, and enjoys running, karate and reading. |
